Rikers:
an american Jail
Bill Moyers was determined to bear witness to the atrocities perpetrated just across the water from LaGuardia airport. In this unflinching portrait of New York City’s most notorious jail, I worked under Producer Rolake Bamgbose and Directors Marc Levin and Mark Benjamin to help realize Moyers’ mission: creating a platform for detainees to document the injustices they endured. Assisting in over one hundred casting interviews, I shot testimonials and scenes that were included in the final cut, as well as cinematography that served as the opening to the film.
